Sleepless in Seattle
"What if someone you never met, someone you never saw, someone you never knew was the only someone for you?"
Simply,for all those who haven't seen the movie,"Sleepless in Seattle",this is the storyline.So,it must be clear for them by now,what does it contain.
However,I rank it one of the best among all the romantic movies of times,coz of it's 'romance defining' concept."can you really fall in love with someone whom you have never seen?"I guess this is no new thing now but consider this is story back in 1993...it creates a path for many more movies to follow,be it 'You've Got Mail' or the Indian version 'Sirf Tum'.
So,we can say that it's not the fame of tom hanks and Meg ryan as the best romantic couple on screen,which creates charisma in the movie,but the whole drama and evolution of Love Story between them;The non-physical chemistry of the characters,in search of their soulmate,is indeed a thrilling idea..why not you people take your time and try out something in this field??
I have no doubt personal preferance for the movie,which may be criticised by all those who don't believe in such ideas and call it non-practical..But then,I would recommend that it's love in it's most holy form...going as your heart says and doing whatever possible to turn your dream into reality...
So,friends,next time just tune in to your radio sets....
Perhaps someone,somewhere must be waiting for you...

Memento
One of the best thrillers I've seen in a long time.
The movie runs from the end to the begining, so you first see the consequence and then the action, a lot of such sequences makes the movie, however, initially you'll have to concentrate a bit, as the why and how comes later, gradually it catches on.
Won't say the story, it's better to watch it yourself, however I warn you that if you have a short attention span, you're likely to stop watching in the first 10-15 mins and you'll lose a good movie.
On second thoughts, I'll just give the outline, but you might lose some of the mystery element.

This guy's wife was raped and supposedly murdered and during the struggle with the two guys, he kills one while the other hits him on the head, this causes brain damage so that his short-term memory is totally gone, he can remember everything till the accident, but not what he ate 2 min.s ago. He sets
out to hunt the killer, but considering his condition, how does he do it, or does he do more than just that, suppose he even killed the guy, he won't ever remember killing him, so?
Indeed Saugata,Memento is one Must Watch Movie which is also supposed to be the best thriller of 2001.I supposedly watched the movie without knowing much about the story later finding out the special story-telling technique of the movie.I saw for the sake of Carrey Anne-Moss..Though she's small role;but then the rest of the movie has good pace once you get into the pitch..
